Well, what I did the last time was got the hell out of Russia and holed up on a nice private island in the Caribbean. No, I'm not telling you which one. I don't want the CIA or MI-6 descending on my secret hideaway, thank you very much. I figured if they went through with the whole thing, it still would be exceptionally difficult to truly spread to the neighboring islands. Sloane's organization had no ties there, no access to the water supply. They're all small enough to be overlooked, and it seemed highly likely they would have been. Now, of course, the zombies might've gotten on boats eventually and come across to kill the villagers, but even then, it was possible they'd think mine was uninhabited. I had a fresh water supply and fruit trees and stocked the pantry well and decided I'd wait them out until they'd all killed each other if the good old APO couldn't stop Elena. After that, well. To the victor go the spoils and the new world order would need help rebuilding wouldn't it? It seemed probable to me.
But, really, I think the best bet is to avoid the whole zombie apocalypse scenario altogether. And my plan for doing that is obviously that I can't retire. I mean, I take one tiny little year off from the game and Sloane goes off his rocker enough to decide to try and help Elena launch an apocalypse with zombies? Who does that? Who? Even if he was sincere in his effort to put a stop to it--he helped by contaminating the water supply. I know I wasn't the one planning the endgames, but, really, when I was around, no one was running off creating zombies, either. It was all far more sane, civilized. So, preventative measures have to be taken. I'll just have to stay in the game and remind them when they start getting too cacklingly megalomaniacal to repeat after me: zombie apocalypses are taking things too far. Honestly, even I have my limits.
