[TM] 256 - What do you hope for?

Hope is a funny sort of word. I have to admit, it isn't one I've ever given much thought to, in such an overarching way.
I hope to succeed on missions, certainly, but I prepare for them thoroughly and I am willing to be ruthless in eliminating anyone seeking to oppose me, so it's more than just hope going in to it.
I hoped to get out of CIA custody, certainly, but, then again, I knew that someone would eventually find a way that I could be more valuable on the outside, and so they did.
I hoped to get a chance to show Michael exactly what I thought of him, every time I had to think of him with the woman I loved, and I did. Of course, he got to return the favor which was less fun.
On that note, I hope to one day get to demonstrate to his second wife just exactly why he had so much trouble holding on to his first.
I hope certain reunions are not some form of elaborate set-up, because if they are, it will get exceptionally bloody for whoever thought to trifle with me that way.
[locked from APO]I hope that Rachel never regrets leaving APO, nor resents me for any part that our relationship may have had in that decision.
I hope that one day we can live our lives together without looking over our shoulders--as much as that is ever possible for the way I live my life, but just...without thinking they're coming just because we're together, I suppose.[/locked]
I hope Suresh finally gets a handle on the whole personality shifting thing before I have to shoot him for getting on my last nerve and lose one of the two friends I actually have.
I hope the contract I've been negotiating comes through soon before I die of boredom, no offense to anyone who has been trying to keep me amused.
