[MI] June, week 3 -- Efficient
Jul. 3rd, 2008 01:30 pmOh, I'm all for efficiency and economy. Especially now in this awful gas and oil crisis we're in. It's best to get things done as efficiently as possible, to not waste fuel and time both, yes? Good for the Earth and all that, letting you feel better about yourself.
So, what am I doing that's so efficient?
Well, last month I had jobs in Tunisia, Cairo, St. Petersburg, Kiev, L.A., Vegas, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. I started in Amsterdam, skipped over to Russia and the Ukraine, nipped on down to Cairo, then to Tunisia, only then flying across the huge ocean to hit L.A., and then I drove to Vegas in a hybrid instead of using the plane. (That lovely, lovely stretch from north of LA on I-15, all the way to the Nevada border? The one with no cops? God, I love that) According to my pilot, that was the best use of our fuel. Now, my client in Tunisia wasn't pleased at having to wait until I finished Cairo--though that was possibly more because the Cairo job was for his rival than anything to do with timing--but I did it anyway.
Never let it be said Julian Sark was anti-conservation.
I even recycled my soda bottle today.
